Here's what you should know: I've handled travel emergencies most people hope they never think about and it changed how I design every trip since. Both travel insurance and a local contact that is available around the clock are required for every client on every trip. You are a person before you are my client and that will never change.
I spent 12 years inside group travel operations, starting in customer service and eventually running global operations for a company with 100,000 travelers a year. I've been to 40 countries myself. Between the two, I've learned what makes a trip flawless and what can ruin one.
